Datové služby MFE se dělí na dva základní bloky. Jedním je vyhledávání souřadnic známých objektů v katalozích a jejich přenos do databáze plánovaných pozorování. Druhým je webové rozhraní apaDSS umožňující prohlížení přehledových fotografických map oblohy Palomar Sky Survey pomocí internetového prohlížeče.
